The future is here, and telecommuting is all the rave these days. New entrants into the global workplace are looking for employment positions that allow them the flexibility to continue to live their lives and travel while they work.



Employers all over the world have come to recognize and accept this new trend and are thus making significant changes in their corporate policies to accommodate new employees who require telecommuting provisions in order to take a new job position.



The number of telecommuting workers has increased 115% in a decade, according to a new report from Global Workplace Analytics and FlexJobs. That translates to 3.9 million workers, or almost 3% of the total U.S. workforce, working from home at least half the time in 2015, an increase from 1.8 million in 2005.



While older, more legacy firms move to catch up with changing times, other firms are at the forefront of this new movement.
